June 2009 - One week placement
This was my first experience within the world journalism and during the short, yet insightful placement, I got to grips with the inverted pyramid structure - a key initiation into writing.
Sandwell Homes deal with house management, repairs and maintenance acting as a custodian to the tenants and residents populating Oldbury, Rowley Regis, Smethwick, Tipton, Wednesbury, and West Bromwich.
The pieces below were published in their company circulated E-zine producing copy about workers and predominantly success stories from their organisation.
Media Relations Manager Janye Maull winning a competition to be 'The Voice' of Sandwell Homes' voice message guide, held at West Bromwich's interactive arts venue The Public (listed as one of '1001 buildings to see before you die').
Sandwell Homes employees Jayne Causer and Andy Aldridge tying the knot after meeting four years previously (2005) at their Christmas work do.
As well as, positive feedback from a survey from Sandwell tenants asking for their suggested improvements for the service they received.
An Oak tree sapling was planted to commemorate Sandwell Homes' extensive hard-work with community projects that had helped to benefit local businesses.
Many thanks to Ken Tudor for his initial inspiration and guidance through my early sapling years.
